  1. Cookies

We use cookies on our website to make it more user-friendly. Cookies are data that the website you visit or its server stores on your computer via your browser so that it can be recognized later. The Foundation uses various technical security measures. These include, among other things, a range of systems and communication security measures, as well as the secure storage of paper documents and data encryption. Furthermore, access to your personal data is restricted exclusively to those persons who need it.

Therefore, any transmission of data to or from the website is at the user's own risk.

  1. Third-party tools and plug-ins

By visiting our website, you also agree to the data processing described below.

YouTube

On our website, we occasionally use plug-ins from YouTube (YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA; subsidiary of Google LLC). As soon as you visit one of our pages that contains an embedded YouTube video, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. YouTube is informed of which page was visited and from which IP address. If you also use a YouTube account, YouTube can assign this information directly to your personal account. Further information on how user data is handled can be found in Google's privacy policy.

Google Maps

Our website occasionally uses the Google Maps map service from Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) via an API to display an interactive map and create driving directions. When you use Google Maps, information about your use (e.g. IP address) may be saved and transferred to a Google server in the USA. You have the option of deactivating the Google Maps service and thus preventing data from being transferred to Google Maps. However, we would like to point out that if you do this you will not be able to use the map display on our website. Further information on how user data is handled can be found in Google's privacy policy.

Social Media Wall

We have our own profiles on social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Once activated, your IP address will be forwarded to the Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn servers. If you also use a Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn account, this information can be directly associated with your personal account.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies, which enable analysis of user behavior on our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there after it has been anonymized using the anonymizeIP method. Due to the anonymization, the transmitted information can no longer be assigned to a connection (in particular not to your IP address). Google uses this information, in particular to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data with effect for the future by installing the Google Analytics deactivation browser add-on.

Friendly Analytics

We use Friendly Analyticsto evaluate the use and reach of our website. Friendly Analytics is a service provided by Friendly GmbH in Switzerland, which enables web tracking without the processing and storage of personal data and without the use of cookies. All data collected and processed by us is stored by Friendly Analytics in Switzerland with providers headquartered in Switzerland. Information about the type, scope and purpose of data processing can be found in the Friendly Analytics Privacy Policy.

  1. Duration of storage

We process and store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations or for the purposes pursued by the processing, as well as in accordance with statutory retention and documentation obligations. Personal data may be retained for the period during which claims can be asserted against our company and to the extent we are otherwise legally obligated to do so or legitimate interests require it (e.g., evidentiary and documentation purposes). As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, it will generally be deleted or anonymized wherever possible.

  1. Data transfer and data transfer abroad

We will only share your personal data with third parties to provide technical or organizational services that we require to fulfill the stated purposes or for our other business activities.

Your personal data will only be transferred beyond this scope if you have given your express consent or if the data has been anonymized to such an extent that it is no longer possible to identify you personally. If data is transferred to a country without an adequate level of data protection, we will ensure an adequate level of data protection as required by law by using appropriate contracts (specifically based on the so-called standard contractual clauses) or so-called binding corporate rules, or rely on the statutory exceptions for consent, contract execution, the establishment, exercise, or enforcement of legal claims, or overriding public interests.

  1. Rights of website users

You have the right to request information about the processing of your personal data free of charge at any time. To do so, please contact the office stated in the legal notice. Other rights, such as the right to data deletion, data correction, restriction of data processing, the right to data portability, the right to revoke any consent granted, and the right to object to the processing of your personal data exist within the framework prescribed by law. Please note, however, that we reserve the right to assert the legally prescribed restrictions, for example if we are obliged to store or process certain data, have an overriding interest in doing so, or need it to assert claims. The exercise of such rights generally requires you to clearly prove your identity (e.g., by providing a copy of your ID card).

The collection of data to provide the website and the storage of data in log files are essential for the operation of our website. Therefore, users of our website have no right of objection in this regard.
