Stubborn fat deposits often cannot be completely reduced despite exercise and a healthy diet. Liposuction is a proven method for the targeted removal of excess fatty tissue and enables a harmonious body contour. Using modern and gentle techniques, we help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

During your initial consultation, we'll analyze your skin condition and determine which fat deposits are suitable for liposuction. We'll also discuss alternative methods for improving your body contours, such as a tummy tuck, and possible combinations of different procedures. Before liposuction, blood-thinning medications should be discontinued and smoking should be reduced or, ideally, stopped. A balanced diet and adequate fluid intake will promote the healing process.
Depending on the extent and location of the liposuction, the procedure is performed under local or general anesthesia. A small incision of approximately 1 centimeter is made, through which a cannula is inserted to suction out the excess fatty tissue. If the procedure is performed under local anesthesia, you may feel pressure, tension, and vibrations during the procedure. Finally, the incisions are sutured, and compression garments are applied.
For the first few days, everything will be swollen. The swelling in the liposuctioned areas will decrease day by day. However, it can take weeks until the final contour is achieved, as the skin still needs to shrink. The skin over the liposuctioned areas may feel numb for a time. This usually goes away. The compression garment should be worn for six weeks. We usually remove the stitches from the incisions after seven to ten days. You can move around normally for the first few weeks after liposuction, but you should avoid sporting activities for six weeks. The final results are usually visible after around six months.
Acute complications are extremely rare. However, as with any surgical procedure, there are certain risks, such as bleeding, infection, or impaired wound healing. Bruises can be somewhat bothersome, especially at first. The scars after liposuction are small and largely unnoticeable. If the skin over the liposuctioned area is unable to adjust and contract properly, slight bumps and indentations can occur, which may require further correction. Sometimes asymmetries are also found that can be corrected in a second procedure. We will discuss the exact risks in detail during the consultation.
The cost of liposuction varies depending on the size of the area being treated and the technique used. For a more precise price estimate, we recommend a personal consultation to discuss the details of the treatment. Click here to schedule an appointment.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Can liposuction help to permanently remove fat?
Yes, liposuction permanently removes fat cells. However, if a healthy diet and regular exercise are not maintained after the procedure, remaining fat cells can re-enlarge and compromise the results.
