Blood-thinning medications should be discontinued before the procedure. A healthy diet, normal physical activity, and abstinence from nicotine will help ensure uncomplicated wound healing.
The buttock lift is performed under general anesthesia by two surgeons to minimize the operating time for you. We remove excess skin and tissue through a spindle-shaped incision and tighten the tissue upwards. The scars are placed as inconspicuously as possible – either along the buttock crease or in the upper buttock area. Drains drain the wound secretions, and compression garments are fitted. If there are fat pads in the thigh area, the lift can be achieved with a Liposuction combine to further optimize the body contour.
Initially, the tightened skin will feel swollen and numb – this is completely normal and will subside soon. You will typically stay in the hospital for one day. After the procedure, you should wear special compression garments for six weeks to support healing. Prolonged sitting should be avoided during the initial period.
As with any surgical procedure, risks such as swelling, asymmetry, or impaired wound healing exist. Careful aftercare and adherence to all recommendations help minimize complications.
