Depending on the procedure, a facelift is usually performed under general anesthesia (less often under local anesthesia) and takes between two and five hours. While a traditional facelift involves deeper tissue layers, a mini facelift is a less invasive alternative with a shorter recovery time.
A recovery period of two to three weeks is typical after surgery. No bandage is necessary. Swelling subsides within a few weeks. The final results are visible after a few weeks.

I had a facelift and eye surgery with Prof. Fansa in Zurich. I was bothered by my sagging cheeks, neck, and drooping eyelids; I really looked older than I felt. I'd already had stitches, but that didn't help. During the consultation, he showed me what the effect would be and what could be achieved. He also showed me pictures and explained exactly where the lift needed to be done. He then performed the facelift and neck lift, along with my eyes, in one surgery.
