Before the procedure, it is important that you are not taking any blood-thinning medications and avoid alcohol and nicotine to promote the healing process. We will also review your medical history together to rule out any possible contraindications.
A lip lift is performed under local anesthesia and is a relatively quick procedure. The specialist removes excess skin or tissue from the upper lip to improve lip contours and achieve the desired volume. The exact technique depends on the chosen method – whether it's a bullhorn lip lift or another form of lip lift.
After the procedure, you will receive detailed instructions for caring for the lip area. The stitches will remain in place for approximately five to seven days. Swelling may persist for seven to fourteen days. Avoid intense sun exposure and strenuous physical activity for two to three weeks.
As with any procedure, lip lifts carry certain risks, such as infection, swelling, or scarring. However, these are generally minimal if you follow the aftercare instructions. We'll explain all possible risks to you beforehand so you can make an informed decision.
