What are biostimulators and what is meant by Profhilo® treatment?
Biostimulants are medical agents that actively stimulate the skin's own regeneration process. In Profhilo® treatment, highly purified hyaluronic acid is injected into specific points on the skin, where it stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin. Unlike traditional fillers, biostimulants are not primarily used for volume enhancement, but rather to improve skin quality, elasticity, and moisture retention. The treatment is particularly suitable for the face, neck, décolleté, and other areas with sagging skin.

The skin is first thoroughly cleansed and disinfected. Then, Profhilo® is injected into the skin at defined points using very fine needles. The injections are usually well tolerated and only take a few minutes. After the treatment, the skin may be slightly reddened or swollen, but this subsides quickly.
Special aftercare is usually not necessary. For the first 24 hours, avoid strong heat, saunas, strenuous physical activity, and alcohol. Good skincare and adequate sun protection will support the treatment results.
Treatment with biostimulators is considered safe. Possible side effects include small hematomas, mild swelling, or temporary redness. Infections or intolerances are very rare. Medical administration and sterile techniques minimize risks.
