Fat removal: Using gentle liposuction, fat is removed from the abdomen, hips or thighs
Preparation: The extracted fat is cleaned using special procedures and prepared for transplantation.
Injection: The prepared fat is injected into the desired areas using fine cannulas.
Depending on the extent, the entire treatment takes approximately one to two hours and is performed under local anesthesia or short general anesthesia.
Swelling and bruising may occur after treatment, but will subside within a few weeks. The treated areas should be rested for the first few weeks. Since some of the transplanted fat is broken down by the body, a top-up treatment may be advisable after a few months. Any asymmetries can then be corrected.
Autologous fat transfer treatments are considered particularly well-tolerated. Possible side effects include temporary swelling, bruising, or uneven fat absorption, which can be corrected with a follow-up procedure. Smoking and malnutrition can impair the healing of fatty tissue.
Costs vary depending on the treatment area and the complexity involved. A personal consultation will provide you with more detailed information. Here to make an appointment.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
What is meant by autologous fat treatment (lipofilling)?
Autologous fat transfer, also known as lipofilling, fat transplantation, or fat grafting, is a minimally invasive method for natural volume enhancement and skin rejuvenation. Autologous fat can be used for cheek augmentation, lip augmentation, breast contouring, and wrinkle smoothing. Autologous fat is harvested from another body region, processed, and injected into a targeted area. The major advantage: Since no foreign substances are used, there is no risk of allergic reactions or rejection.
